Story
On most days, Rani felt nothing like her name. She was somewhat embarrassed about her plain features, her lustreless hair and her petite frame. But, most of all, she was ashamed of her lisp, which kept her from making new friends or attending public gatherings. She was convinced she would never amount to much she lacked conviction and was terrified that others would mock her. But one evening, while browsing through an old photo album, she came across a picture of her grandmother on yellowing newsprint. The snippet spoke of how her grandmother had defied all odds to be the first to study math, in an all-mens college. In that moment, something changed. Rani knew that nothing in her life could have matched the odds her grandmother went up against. She decided to be her own person, lisp included, and fearlessly follow her dreams of being a broadcast journalist. Yes, it would be an uphill task, but if there was one person who could take it on, it was her.

Description
Handloom cotton is handwoven by our weavers on mechanical looms. The process is time and labour-intensive, using techniques that have been passed down across generations of artisans. The resultant fabric is extraordinarily soft, breathable and resilient, and also drapes very well. Using handloom cotton not only helps us to work with smaller weavers but also plays an important role in reducing the environmental footprint of the garments we produce. The addition of zari adds a regal sheen to this saree, making it as beautiful as it is comfortable.
